600whp fuel setup? any thoughts?

Hi there,
So Im building my car to take 600whp, but I have a few questions about the fuel setup. Ill be running 93 fuel. My current setup pushed me just shy of 400whp, which was this.
wal 255, FIC 850cc, Fuelab afpr, stainless line from rail to AFPR. stock rail, stock lines, new stock filter.

So I picked up PT 1000cc's, but im questioning the pump(s) and the rail. I know I need new feed and return lines.
QUESTIONS
What size feed/return lines should I run?
What filter? what micron rating?
dual in-tank 255's OR 1 255 in tank, and 1 in line?
Do i need a high flow rail?

One in tank Jay Racing pro fuel pump has done 600+awhp on e85.. So just one in tank pump.

-6AN feed and stock return is enough

stock fuel rail is enough

1000cc injectors are pushing there limits at 600whp

Best fuel filter you can afford...
 
Stock rail and return line are fine. Run a -6 feed. Most any 10-micron filter will do. The 2G tanks don't fit two in-tank pumps easily. An in-tank feeding an in-line pump is cheaper, easier, and plenty of fuel for 600 WHP. I'd go larger than 1000's too. At 600 WHP, I was pretty close to maxing out 1200's.
 
Another thing is voltage. Make sure your charging system and wiring is up to par. The more juice you can get to the pumps the more they will flow. All the little bit helps.
 
Haha I like the weldon description :) I upgraded to FIC bluemax 1550cc's, and ill run a single Walbro 400lph in tank, stock rail, Fuelab AFPR. 6an lines sounds good, and a weldon filter sounds like it will do the job. Haha, Thanks guys!
 
There is not a whole lot of info about them but don't forget there now is a Walbro 400lph fuel pump available. I'll be either going with that or the Jay racing FP. Why run 2 when you only need 1?:thumb:
 
I run 2 bosch pumps on my car. They're not cheap but they're very reliabale, and it works well if I choose to drive the car for long periods of time like a street car. They've been out for many years, and have proven themself in many forms of motorsports. Ask around if you wish, but just one pump will easily do what your asking of it.
 
I know if I ever build another dsm it will be a bit more low key than the one I have now. I think these new pumps like the walbro 400 are fantastic for eliminating all the bs that goes along with an external pump.

The bosch pump can be configured to be ran inside the tank aswell. You don't have to run it as an external pump like I did. Harold Horton made over 700 awhp with just one of the bosch pumps. He used it inside the tank in the stock location, stock fuel lines, and 1000cc injecters. This was on c-16. I've had a 255 hp in the past crap out on me. I was running two of them at one time in the tank, bust I feel more comfortable with my current setup. The walbro 400 is just un-proven in my opinion.
