I will go as far to say I will have one of the fastest T-25 cars for being FWD and I am no where close to 300whp. Just for the simple fact that it is not even possible for a T-25 to handle it.
Sorry for straying off-topic, but a guy in our club made 288 WHP on a T-25 last weekend at a dyno day we had. Yeah it was on C-16, but still-- darndest thing I ever saw.

Well if that mod list does put down 700 hp (it won't the 60trim is only rated for like 600hp) then you will still have a large number of parts to add to that list. The stock fuel lines will not flow enough for 700 hp, so they will all have to be replaced. You will never be able to tune the car well enough anyway with a MAFT to put down 700hp, you will need a standalone. The trans will not handle that sort of power so you will need more than just steel shift forks. The head might be able to flow enough, but you will probably need some port work done. You didn't list any of the gauges you will need nor did you include suspension or wheels and tires. Basically your list is a crock of shit and includes about half the parts actually needed. Not to mention you will need to pay someone who knows how to tune a standalone if you actually want to make 700hp, which costs big bucks these days.

6030 and if you want 200 for misc parts...

just stop now..your making yourself look even more like a jackass..

a maft setup for 700hp..give me a break...your gonna need alot more then steel shift forks if you want the tranny to last more then 1 run...BM fpr LOL, yeah you see a ton of high HP cars running those...might want to add is some replacment parts such as timing belt, water pump, oil pump, ect ect (they add up, believe me)....hope your not thinking the stock diff is going to hold the power either...and i dont even want to get into tuning a car for 700hp...stock suspension for 700hp? hahaha...theres alot more to it then you think

didnt want to get this thread more off-topic but i cant stand it when stupid people think they know these magical ways of making tons of HP on a budget..if you want a high HP car, then you better have some deep pockets.

I didn't say it would hold up. I said he'll make the power.. And it's a few ppl made 480+whp on pump gas.

dude that list was the dumbest thing ive ever seen. and to the guy with the gs-t with all the money, lets see some pics of the car, build up, etc. as of now you're full of it.

Well I was saying you don't have to spend alot of money to go fast. But if you got the cash and want to use it you can.

Well first off I will agree this guy has no clue about making power and what it takes but let me set something straight. We have a car right now full built running a Gt35r @30-35 psi with a 80 shot of n20.... ANd guess what fuel controll, A MAFT and afc with a dsmchipped eprom. The car running less boost ran a 11.0@132 it is on the times board with the new setup should easily make 10s if we can stop breaking axles. I love it when people wo have no actual knowledge of a setup bash it. Also last i checked Al Blaha ran a 10 on a hacked 1g maf and afc but i guess that is impossible too? Its all about knowing how to make a car run and tune it. Or wait maybe its about speneding 1000s of dollars on stand alones and exspensive parts until you have so mch money in the car it has no other choice than to make power.

Isn't that what you are doing  The MAFT is a good setup, but everyone knows a standalone is the way to go if you want to make big power and have complete control over a car.

If we where just throwing money at the car we woud have an aem in both of them. But the maft/chip/afc is much more cost effective and easier to tune for us. Without a dyno to tune on, and driving these cars on the street, the standalone just doesn't seem to be user friendly enough for us. But we also have only had limited exp with the aem and it was when it first came out, so it may be much more user friendl now.

For one if I was you just buy GSX and built it up. In the spyder you'll kill urself. I had 400 in my GST from a T-25. And it took alot to adjust even tho I had a LSD. I'm shooting for 600 in my new GSX and 2.4. Without NOS. You don't need NOS for 600 or 650 with a stroker or Built motor 2.0. only problem will be. If you use NOS and Blow up car up. You'll say forget racing. You don't need 20K to make a 700 hp car. 10k tops. I'm doing mine for 5-6 k.

OK seriosly - can someone revoke this person's privilages to post in the Tech forums?

60 trim - 700hp not possible - My real world experience:
Friend of mine - 1G AWD
526whp 35psi, C-16
Complete T3/T4 setup
60trim w/.82 a/r
Fully built everything Minus SMI (stock 1G)

35psi was way out of efficiency range for that turbo. He had to back it down to 30psi to make it reliable/Safer HP... A/F ratio.... less knock (HP at 30psi 498whp)

My friend with PTE 56trim - 508whp at 30psi (1G AWD w/ 1Rods2G piston combo
SMI
272's
VPE FMIC

1G FWD - 60-1
Fully built everyting - bla bla bla - "Isaak Hurst's" car 501whp (back when he was lead tech for Brent Rau)

And a T-25 making 400whp (just STFU right now) - Allan from "DSMSTYLE" held the record for fastest T-25 1/4 for the longest time. 13.4@101mph. I think that record has since been broken but only moved to 13.1 (been about a year since I've checked for updated times)

But 101 traps is 260whpish range, IF you hit 400whp on the T-25 please post up the dyno sheet.

just because it works for one setup doesnt mean that its the best way to do it. and im pretty sure this guy didnt include an afc or a chipped ecu in his equation either. im not saying that a standalone is the only way to make these kinda power level, im just saying its one of the best options to get there.

If you reread. I corrected myself. I didn't make 400 on a t-25. It was on my 60 trim on pump gas. Second Smithey made 611 on a RED turbo and NOS. TAND the PTE56 is bigger than the red turbo. People have ran 9 with less power. So if you add a 50 or 75 shot to that setup That's 700 hp not whp. The piont was you can make big power or great et. Without spending 20k. I can do it for around 6kish. But that don't mean the rest of your car will. You'll just make the power. Its not all about power its the driver and the whole setup too.

The mods need to lock this...

People are going to read all of the junk and believe it.

You forgot ALOT of gaskets, a wastegate, tranny fluid, ARP hardware, a bov, and about $1500++++ in misc costs (if you're building or putting this together yourself) cans and cans of brake cleaner, RTV, all that small shit adds up. Trust me; I'm in the process and so far, I'm well over $6k and sure some of my stuff is unecessary, but it's still well over $6k without those parts and half of them are used parts. But if you're gonna do something big, honestly, why do it half ass? Anyhow, like many people said... you obviously need more than a "60 trim" to make 600 whp, unless it's a "60 trim"-60-1 and even then, you will need nitrous. Just my 5 cents.

I agree with this statement. I have been keeping tabs on this thread and so far I see alot of BS being thrown around on both sides.

MY PERSPECTIVE:

If you haven't achieved a particular goal, you don't know what it takes to get there. You should say then " I DO/DON'T think ..." . So you should contact a reoutable shop and ask them to either do the work or ask advice on what parts you need to accomplish your goal.

There have been people in the past doing unthinkable things.. ie Dre putting down 500+ on pump gas.

Oh and mindslayer...you have been quoted about making 400hp out of your T-25, so lets be done with that.

Name calling isn't going to help someone here. Last I checked this forum was about sharing knowledge and helping people out.

If you don't know what you are talking about then don't say anything.

~Rant off~

Wow...lets put air cylinders on a car with AWD and 700hp....we'll launch great then! and even bottom out everytime I shift gears! w00t!

I know. I have air cylinders.

Widebody? Hopefully not any ### widebodies....a widebody 700hp on aircylinders...yeah..ok..convertible...k....with a GSX unbody..k...Whatever floats your boat bud.

I recently got to take a close look at Jeff Elliot's new full T4 racecar setup said to have ~700HP. It had so many custom and one-off items.. I barley recognized it as a DSM ;)

Don't forget to add the following to the list:
- mas Dyno Time
- Professional Tuner(s)
- Race Tranny
- Race Axles
- Race Wheels/Tires
- NHRA Roll Cage/Fuel Cell/Seats/Belts
- Trailer to tow the car
- Lots of $$$ to fix broken parts
- SPONSORS to help pay for stuff :D

DAMN

all you mofos are getting angry about this, kinda funny. although i dont see a point to keeping this thread open anymore. :thumbdown
