6 bolt swap with 2g tranny

hey guys whats up so i blew my 2g turbo motor
and i bought a 6 bolt short block well the guy who i bought it from had a fwd car and mine is a 1995 eagle talon tsi awd and his flywheel wont fit in my tranny ugh
so i dont know what to do because i need a smaller fly wheel but i can only find small 7 bolt ones i think im screwed can any one help ###

The 6-bolt flywheel is probably for a turbo FWD. An AWD 6-bolt flywheel will work, no question.

thats all i need? and i will be fine are you shure? just a awd flywheel well i found a awd aluminum one its a light weight one would i need anything to suport that?

Pretty sure. FWD turbo flywheels are a bit larger in diameter than AWD flywheels.

The 6-bolt engines also used longer flywheel bolts. You might consider finding and using some of those (Mitsubishi part number MD040557).

I bought a 95 Talon TSI front wheel drive, with no motor but it has a 2g tranny Im guessing if I got a 6 bolt engine I need to swap the flywheels as well.

ya u do your in the same boat as me ha but i have a 6 bolt one i have to fly wheels at my house one 6 fwd and one 7awd

Your 7-bolt AWD flywheel fits the transmission, does it not?

The AWD flywheels use the same ring gear and are (as I've reasoned before in threads of old), therefore, the same diameter. No offense, but you aren't the first one to do this swap. A 7-bolt flywheel won't work for obvious reasons. You have a turbo 6-bolt FWD flywheel that doesn't fit, what other option are you left with?

You need an AWD 6-bolt flywheel. Period.
