After nine long months it's almost there. This will be sort of a progress thread/tech thread because I'll include some information on how I'm doing it.
First of all I am doing this all with the transmission still in the car. You can see in the pictures what I left on and off the engine. Started out by taking the passenger side hub assembly off. Took off the downpipe and subframe. Detached the tranny from the mounts (wood board across the engine bay with a strap to hold it up) and moved it as far left as possible. Moved the AC compressor to the firewall and held it up with a rope. Installed engine.
Looks so much easier in typing. The hardest part was lining the tranny with the engine, but it worked. Easier if you line it up and screw the bolts it a little bit.
But that's all I've got so far. Long day took about 5 hours, but I also did a few other misc things. Engine probably took 3 or so. I'll keep updating as I progress.
Side note: I'm using a Fidanza flywheel and the stock 7 bolt flywheel bolts.

. I've used stock bolts before, without a problem, although I now use the longer ones from FP. The swap looks great man! Hope you enjoy it. What are your plans for the electrical aspect of it? Are you planning on using DSMlink to help with CEL's?
