im doing a 6 bolt swap and ive got just about everything done that i know..i have a 1g intake manifold and im not sure what i have to do with the map sensor and what ever else sensor is on the 2g manifold..just looking for some help ..

thanks

alright..the map sensor..you say T if off to a vacum line..how do you get a vacum line to stay on the little nipple on the map sensor..he seems so small to stay on

There is a guy on here that makes a sweet relocation block. Its machined out of a block of aluminum and anodized black. I can post a pic of mine if someone can tell me how to post pics on the board. It's the nicest piece I have ever seen for using the stock map with a 6 bolt swap. The map bolts into the block, and there is a nipple to connect any vacuum line to. The only information I still have on him is this:

Charles A Grassie [email protected]

If you want Ill PM the pics.

I have had a 6bolt swap in my car for over 3 years now and I just took off the map sensor that was on the 2g intake manifold and I haven't run into any problems at all.

You dont need it cause i also ran my car without it and there was no difference. I had it on and off twice in a row just to see if there was a difference and the only thing was 2 check engine lights:

one for not having it plugged in at all (physically not in the engine bay)
one for when it is plugged in but isnt getting a vacuum reading.

But i would hook it up if you can, its not hard and the computer uses it every time you start up so its there for a reason. I mean even evos have it so it has to do something important for the mitsu ecus.

The Manifold Differential Pressure (MDP) sensor only checks for proper EGR operation. It is used for emissions only, you will have a CEL for not having it plugged in.
