Im wanting to do a 6bolt swap in a 93 tsi fwd.. I was wondering what all I would need to compete the swap? Would i need a 6bolt engine harness or will the 6bolt fit right in with out any issues since your going from a 7bolt to a 6bolt thanks for the help.

well when i put a 6 bolt n/a in my 93 gs it was plug and play. make sure you have a 6 bolt fly wheel.

icic i would have to check it out when i look at the car im buying the car and it snapped a timing belt and bent the vavles and i got a fully rebuilt 6bolt ready to go and i got 6bolt flex plates, autos dont use flywheels there teeth for the starter is around the torque converter.

now im stuck its a 90 turbo shell, my other car is a 93 n/a 2.0 i pulled my harness and ecu but the car side of the engine harness is diff. meaning the clip on the harness that returns under the dash is diff. i tried a quick search but am tring to get this car ready for tomorrow. will a n/a setup run off a turbo ecu if i wire the injector resistor or what ever it is backwards. i know to go from n/a to turbo you need to wire it in could i just do the opposite??:banghead: ### i need some help

I don't mean to hi-jack a dead thread but, I don't believe the question was fully answered. What all is needed to swap a 6 bolt into a 1gb auto? I can't seem to locate a complete and accurate list. Like, will I need new/ different torque converter or flex plate since that wasn't clarified or confirmed in the #2 or #3 post. I'm try to get a list toghter before I do the swap. Thanks
