Hello everyone. Im in the process of swapping 6 bolt to my 95 GSX. My current goal is to reach 400-450 hp. Is this achievable with 91 octane pump gas? Thats all we can get in the southwest. The 6 bolt will have the 2g pistons with 6 bolt rods and crank.

Also, i was reading the service manual and came across the crank and rod bearings end play limits or measurements. If my goals are 400-450 hp, what rod and main bearings do i have to consider? If i use acl race bearings for the rods and the oem mains, will this be fine?

If the crank was micro- polished and still has some noticeable lines, did they not do a good job?

Any help is appreciate.

There's no way you'll make 400-450 on pump gas with that turbo that's for sure, but acls are fine. I use the trimetal race bearings with factory clearances in my DD.

My buddies colt is running an FP "50 from" (I have no clue real specs on it) but ecmlink is estimating him at ~380 at 25lbs tuned by myself. He's using 93 and is pretty aggressively tuned.

If you want that power level, get a 6 puck sprung disc or that 2100 will slip in a short amount of time.
I would recommend getting the L19s for head studs.
Get an FP green or equivalent for the power you want.
