London,
so has anyone done it?

Ive been reading Magnus and its talks about the swap into a 2G with a minor mod to the mounting. but that of course is with the GST/GSX 4g63 7 bolt. what would be required to do it in place of the 420? tranny, ecu, harness?

sorry for sounding like a n00b ( i am ) and yes ive tried to search.

i thougth there was some stuff on it, but i dunno i didnt search. but you definatly need the tranny cause they everything is on the opposite side of the 4g63

before ppl flame me

I was wondering if ppl have done a 6 bolt, not the 7 and what is different other than the fw.

I realize i million and a half ppl have asked about THE swap and have read the repetitivness

thanks :laser:

6 bolt and 7 bolt are both 4g63 engines. It would be equally difficult to swap in.

the 90-92 came w/ 6 bolt
93-99 came w/ 7 bolt

^^ good point :p

i think the 7 bolts have slightly different mounts, and the 6 bolt is less prone to crank walk :thumb:
