-16g on td05
-Full fmic with 2.5"
-14psi
-3" exhaust
-atmospheric o2 dump
-unknown stage TMO chip

Today i just installed the fmic, it was fun and long and hateful and now joyful, unfortunately i had a giant fmic and didnt want to cut into the metal bumper, so i lowered it down and cut out some plastic on my lower front bumper. And now its really close to the ground. Now its all installed, and ran ungodly well, except for the fact that i cant boost over 5k without it cutting out, i believe i already know the answer to this problem is that iam not letting it breath well with the stock maf on it, but could it be that my chip is preset to the smic, and now that i have an fmic its being overworked?

any and all thoughts about this problem would help me immensely before i spend 300$ on either a nice ecu+chip, or GM maf maft...

Well if your pipe is without a re-circ tube you can cut a hole in it and have one welded on, or jb-weld it. 2g maf could be popped on if your throwing your 560's in. just get something to tune asap with. Your running lean with the 20% more air since your ecu doesn't account for it, but if you put the injectors in it'll be a band aid solution to a spurting wound so-to-speak. And the reducer and adapter... that i can't help with :tease:

there are 2 more mounts for a vacuum and another line that i havent even tried to trace yet, does the 2g maf eliminate all need for those? except for the cbv...
 
2g maf doesn't "eliminate" the need for any of those vaccuum hoses. It just replaces the 1g maf with a better flowing one. You can get rid of the charcoal canister though, if you don't worry about emissions.

Edit: also you need a harness adapter to connect the 1g maf harness to the 2g maf.

Exactly, you can find the harness already made on e-bay for like 20-35 bucks shipped.

And you will still need to run the vacuum line. I have only two lines running into my intake. The breather valve can be blocked off if you have a breather filter over the nipple. And the bcs line if you have a mbc.
 
I believe you meant the valve cover breather. And I would not recommend putting a breather filter over that unless you want oil all over the engine bay. Either leave the vacuum line or put a catch can inline.

Ah yes i apologize for my error, And i have not had oil anywhere so far after my breather install about roughly 500 miles ago. But yes a catch can is a better route to go if not more spendy.
 
Ok, so my intake has NOTHING on it, given ill cut and tig on a Re-Circulation fitting, but for my MBC line that connects to a 'Tee' to my intake should i just tap a vacuum nipple anywhere after the MAF? finally for my charcoal canister, i already have a oil catch can for my valve cover breather, but how does one vent the line in from the gas tank to the canister? and do i completely remove the charcoal canister and ac connected?
