Fuel cut only at 5k rpm only in 3rd.

So, this has been happening since I got the car but I didn't really notice it much because the tranny was also slipping. Whats kind of odd is it ONLY happens at 5k RPMs exactly and only in third. After 5k RPMs I can continue with 15 psi until redline. I checked for boost leaks and there aren't any, my turbo is so ported to handle my 3 inch exhaust, so I doubt its boost creep. The gauge is not showing any creeping either. I use a palm logger so I'll try to post a log but in not sure how to pull the save file off it or know if you guys would even be able to open the file.

i had this problem on my 6 bolt swap although it was 3k rpm, i finally fixed it with inverting the cam angle sensor.

What exactly do you mean by inverting the CAS?

I have the same problem.. but i believe it's the wastegate; not fuel cut.

Do you have stock fuel pump and injectors? Try changing out the spark plugs with ngk br6es

Check your ecu to make sure the caps aren't leaking

Lol well i cant help you on this one. Ive got the same issue. i do not know if it does it in 4th or 5th but in 3rd at about 4800 to 5200 i start getting like a jerking/fuelcut feeling. In 1st and 2nd car rips to red line but 3rd it pulls hard untill it starts this issue. haha so im listening in on this one.
And i also just checked my ecu thats good. Mine is caused by fuel managment issues im sure it acts like its getting to much fuel but i really do not know.

Yeah, I'm running the stock MAF but it did this when I was also at 10 PSI. Back then I thought it was just the transmission slipping.

My logger actually shows the injectors working at 86% but cut out at EXACTLY 5k RPMs then by 5100 turn back on and stay at 86% until red line.

I checked the ECU and there are no leaking caps. I might try a friend of mine's MAF to make sure its not that. I may also try his WGA.

Oh, my car is also not showing any CELs but then again I'm not sure if 1gs even do that. The only people I've ever noticed saying they got a CEL was a 2g owner. Plus my logger IS showing that the fuel is stopping.
