50 trim or 60 trim?

i wnat to know what rpm average the 50 trim will spool at with a ported o2 and 3 inch exhaust? compared to a 16G or a 60 trim with the same setup?

i want to get a 50 trim and dont want to wait till 4xxx plus rpm to spool!

if a 60 trim is not much slower than a 50 id go the 60

I had a 7bolt with a PTE 50trim internally, gated 3" turbo back exhaust, EVO exhaust mani, EVO O2 and on pump gas it would hit 21psi at 3600-3800 rpm.

Spool up is not the only thing you shoudl be looking at when buying a turbo. You need to decide you power goal and what type of gas you plan on running among other things. The 50 trim will make more power on pump gas than almost any other turbo on the 4g63 so keep that in mind. I wont go over a 50 trim for that reason unless I decide to make the car more race than street.

Also if you are that worried about spool up then a turbo of that size may not be for you. The only way to get a big turbo to spool faster is to go with a ball bearing center section and that adds a good deal to the price.

Dont bother, you might as well go 20g at that point.

I'll second that. Don't go with the 18g. Sounds like you need the 50-trim with an internal wastegate and the .48 turbine.
