5-speed with overdrive?

I'm seeing a GSX for sale listed as a 5-speed with overdrive.....Never heard of it WTF . Does such a thing exist? How would it affect things from a tuning standpoint?

Usually 5th gear is referred to as OD.

Yup 5th is overdrive.

Oooh, be careful with that one. If you go 88 mph and engage it you'll rocket to the future. On a serious note though overdrive is 5th gear.

4th gear's ratio is 0.833:1 so it's overdrive.
5th gear's ratio is 0.666:1 so it's also overdrive, but it's deeper.

looking at it technically, it would be a 3 speed with two overdrives.

That would look funny on an auto. It would read 1, 2, D, OD, DOD!
