5 speed internals

Where is the best place to buy 5 speed trans internals. I have no second gear and want to rebuild or replace but i need to price it out.

I'm assuming you're talking about DSM trannies because you have a TurboTA in your profile. Got any pics?

Sorry the tsi. here is theTTa on a dyno a few years ago before.... alot. Chip injectors alky kit, plenum porting and a air to air instead of the atr liquid intercooler. hit 272 hp at the wheels and 542 lb ft torque. I should be well over 300 now. oh and another 7 psi of boost. Im up to 21 with no knock, stock internals in everything

No thats right. I was shocked at the torque number and disappointed in the hp

Yeah, those are almost diesel numbers, .
I know the 3.8Ts don't rev too high but the numbers should have been closer to each other for sure
Was there an issue with the tune or valve float or something else?
What turbo was this on?

Wasn't stock hp on a turbo ta Like 250hp ?

I dont know the exact rated number, but it was lower than reality so it wasnt higher than the vette. But it wasnt at the wheels either. And the numbers i got peaked at 24-2600 and flatlined through the range so i can pull just as hard at 3k as 4500. It reminds me of the gravitron it just puts you in the seat and doesnt let up til you do. TTA+21psi+e/t streets=A blast

It was tuned right at the time but with 10-15 year old upgrades so it was set to not blow up, grannied. Also the pump for the liquid IC wasnt working so it was heatsoaking my turbo air.

TA-49 next size up from stock. Dont know the specs like what the size and stuff. I do know however it is like twice the size of the talons

250 hp and 340 tq
