Hey guys, just finished my 5 speed swap on my 94 Talon using a Turbo FWD Transmission (F5M33) and linkages, shift housing, and brackets from a 1990, and running stock turbo clutch.
I have all gears but needs some fine tuning. 2nd gear grinds but i knew it would (hence why i got the tranny for 30$) but I also have issues with it grinding and or not going into gear at higher rpm shifts (anything above 4.5K) I even rev matching while using the clutch at same time and still grinds.
Tried bleeding the clutch several different ways (each of these methods i was told to try by different people and the 3rd one was a how to video on utube so i did try some searching)
1: opening the slave cyl bleed valve, and pumping the clutch, then closing it, and pumping it again.
2: Compressing the slave cyl by hand then opening the bleed valve letting it bleed out, then closing it. and letting go.
3: Compressing the clutch pedal and holding it there, then compressing the slave cyl by hand, then opening the bleed valve and and letting it bleed out, then closing it again.
I adjusted the Master Clutch Cylinder as far out as it would go and it helped the most, but still seems It could use some more of something...
Clutch feels pretty good but maybe it could be a little stiffer?
I'm thinking the grinding problem is a mix between the clutch and the and the linkages needing to be properly adjusted (i have the 90 linkages which have the adjusters on both linkages)z
pointers, tips, tricks, corrections help me out here.
Edit: My pedal assembly and Clutch Master Cyl is out of a Galant VR4 if that makes any difference...everything bolted up directly tho...
