4g69 head swap

I was wondering if anyone knows of or has maybe done this project. Is it possible to put a 4g69 cylinder head on a 4g64? If so what might be some major points to look at before this is done?

4g69 is a single overhead cam engine. There would be no reason to do it, even if it were possible.

Yea both engines are single cams but the 4g69 has mivec and thats what I was mainly wondering about?

Hi. Now I proceeding such a project - 69 head on 64 block. There is no troubles at all. All you need is to add wiring for mivec actuator and new engine brain firmware.
With the tuned pistons, tie rods and camshaft you can make about 200 h.p. Without charger.

One difference between 64 and 69 blocks is the 6 mm. height difference. But in general it's no matter.

I was thinking about it while typing... Of course I mean H-beam connecting rods. With different height from stock.
