4g64 engine

Need help is the old 4g64 engin(1995-1999) the same as the new 4g64 engine (2000-2005)
as in using the new one in an 98 eclipse spyder?

They are not the same, its like the eclipse & evo 4g63 they are turned 180 degrees.
