I'm about to do a DOHC 4g63 swap on my Spyder GS but Ive run into a little problem. From what it looks like the head I have only has cam angle sensor but no cam position sensor I'm not sure if those are the correct name ever site I see they call it something different but I attached a picture so you can see. Its the sensor under the gold cam gear. Then on my spyder it looks like I have a cam position sensor and no cam angle sensor. So obviously I'm guessing there not the same sensor so I cant just go and cut the connector off my spyder and splice it to the one on the head if I want it to run. Can anyone confirm if I can or cant just splice the sensor on the head into the one that's currently on my car. If its not possible does anyone know where I could find the housing for the cam sensor but even then it doesn't look like there's any mounting points for it on this head. Does anyone have anything I can try out?

Cam position and cam angle are two names for the same type of sensor. In short, you can rewire your stock harness to accept the 95-96 cam sensor on your dohc head. It's worth noting that the under-gear sensor reads inverted compared to the 97-99 and 4g64 sensors. Hope this answers your question
