4g64 crank & 4g63 crank gear, do they work ?

i'm finaly putting my 2.3L together and into my car but i cant get my 4g63 crank gear onto my new crank, any tricks to this?

It's a real tight fit, almost seems like it might go on, i was thinking about torching the gear 'n tapping it on, but i'm kinda nervous....

It should be a snug fit but not as snug as you would have to heat the gear. There is a reason why it doesn’t go on easy so find it and don’t even think about heat.

i covered teh crank shaft with oil and the inside of the gear with oil then tapped it on with a rubber mallet
