ok!! i recently completed my first big proyect on my 98 eclipse spyder 2.4 L, as you can see in the forums here theres not a single forum dedicated to 4g64 owners
its all about the 4g63 and the 420A , well is the same in the after market racing part world, after a looooong time being frustrated searching and searching for easy bolt on performance parts for my 4G64 spyder without any success i decided to just go all the way for my 4G64 turbo conversion!!! it was a loooong process!! lots of headaches !! and specially a bunch of my hard earned money!!! but at the end and after all that time ..... IT WAS ALL WORTH IT!!
as you know once you finish a proyect and get the results you where looking for it becomes like a drug!! you just want more and more!!
now im ready to start my second 4G64 proyect do a swap from my SOHC to a DOHC , since i allready have a turbo conversion on my 4G64 i think this proyect will be a lot easier than if i didnt have the turbo conversion , since i allready have the turbo ecu , injectors, resistor box , heathers etc. i been doing a lot of research about it and i have found a lot of interesting things and parts i need to be able to do the swap but i havent really found a very detailed list or guide to be able to do this, this is a list of what i will be needing so far:
4g63 DOHC
4g63 manifold
4g63 fuel rail ( wich i think i allready have)
i can use the stock TB , but if i decide to go for the 1g TB i need to swap the ISC
94 galant 4g64 DOHC cam gears
94 galant 4g64 timing belt
94 galant head gasket
freeze plugs
4g63 CAS
4g63 thermostat housing
that is what i have so far , so im looking for opinions , pointers and tips from people that have done this , are planning on doing this or are currently doing this. if theres anything else i need or can help me with the process i will really apreciate it !!
