Hello,

I just posted about the upgrade path i should take on the project car im planning to run, it was a Spyder GS-T but then AWD lured me away from convertibles.

I have the oportunity to pick up a engine/transmission/transfer case-less Talon TSi 2g, which is ok to me, because this way i know how good (or bad) my car is. Now i'm hunting a 4g63T engine with the awd transmission in it.

Just wanted to hear form your experience as to what price range should i buy these? and if you got a recommended store, i'd love to hear about it.

Maybe irrelevant but doesn't hurt to give extra info. I need the engine shipped to Panama, Central America. Sorry, I kinda lied in the profile info, but i didn't have an option to say i'm located in Panama.

I would look for a wrecked car and go that route. from my experience you can pick one up wrecked for about 1000-1500 or less than allow a few hundred in your budget for any damaged parts do to the wreck. Around 2000.00 you have a like new talon tsi awd you can't be that!

yes, i know i can swap, but i don't have that money right now...

The guy who is selling me the engine-less talon is asking for 2100 for the whole thing, he says all it needs it's an engine. I dunno, but i think he is asking too much for that. He said he would sell me the car at 1500 if he keeps the transmission and transfer case.

What you guys think?

It would have to be one of the cleanest cars too spend that much for a shell. I would personally talk him down or just look for something else if he wont go any lower.

Ok, i guess i'll keep searching. Just in case you want to see the picture...

It has a carbon fiber rear hood, but it's in bad shape, needs to be polished.

I baught a 95 gst for $2100 that had jumped time and wouldnt start. I took it to a shop and anouther $300 to have it put back in time and drove it home. I also baught a 90 Gsx with a bad turbo and bad computer BUT a perfect motor for $300 I took the motor out and crushed the car and got my $300 back for crushin it. Hey sometimes you luck up.
