I found a parts car for sale not far from my house for only $150. I was thinking of rebuilding its motor to put in my GST. Thing is, it's NA. What would I need to do to make it ready for the turbo. I know it will need low comp pistons and I'd probably drop in some forged rods but are the heads the same. Is that all I will need to swap out (pistons/rods)?

non turbo motors do not have oil squirters in the block
the heads are interchangeable

I think the only difference in the head is the cams. Other than that, the head is the same. As far as the block goes, oil squirters in the turbo motors, and I believe even the rods are the same. Only the pistons differ.

heads are the same block does not have squirters,rods are the same.
just get pistions for it and have them coated on the skirts and you will be fine

Does your N/T block have a knock sensor? I'm doing a similar build up with a N/T 6 bolt and noticed no knock sensor and that the oil filter housing looks different.
