I have a 08 lancer de with the 4b11 and want to swap it for a 4g63 but have a few questions.
• will the 4g63 fit in my engine bay
• will the motor bolt up with my transmission
• what should i expect while installing said motor
• what is the best way to put the motor and tranny in

If this picture is like your car, it looks like A LOT OF WORK. On top of the mechanical engineering involved you also have to incorporate a computer to run the different engine. I can't tell which orientation the engine sits in the bay but if the pulleys are on the passenger side, it would be like trying to convert a 420a DSM over to a 4g63, very unpractical.

I’m curious on why. A car new enough to have 4b11, what benefits would you want to get from installing a 4g63? Seems like with all the complexities of the swap would need a huge advantage to justify the headaches. Why not start with a more project-inclined starting point….
