hello so i got a question i recently got a 91 talon tsi from a friends and he also gave me a Lancer Evolution 4G63T 90-94 engine..he told me the swap would be basically a easy plug and play swap..but i just wanted to get some feedback though i know there the same engine this one just comes w all the goods 16g stock bigger fuel enjectores the works and it only has 40k on it so will the swap be a plug and play??

He said an early 90's evo so that's not the reversed evo motor your thinking of. So if the motor really is the motor your said you had it should drop right in.

^ +1 other than a couple of emissions sensors, (and if it is a real evo motor, the injectors and turbo). It is plug and play.

You may have check on that. I think I saw it on the DSM faq. Saying something like its not possible to fit the Jdm 4G63T from the early evos into the 1g dsm. I heard that it could only go into the 2g. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

EVO Motors: The valve covers of the EVO 1-3 motors will be a kind of titanium color. They are the same as a US 2G motor with nothing fancy. They have the smaller 2G style intake ports, a small runner intake manifold with a larger plenum and a larger throttle body than a 2G motor. Still they are hard to find. Many are from other 4G63 powered cars and can have small 13G sized turbos. They will not bolt into a 1G because there are no provisions for the front roll stopper motor mounts that bolt to the block. Everything in Japan from 94 and up has the front and rear roll stopper motor mounts on the transmission 2G Eclipse style. Many people are running around yapping about how they have an EVO motor in their car. If it bolts into a 1G, it isn't an EVO motor.
