Hi i was curious where somebody with some experience would recomend what i should get in the way of a new distributor, plug wires, and spark plugs. I was thinkin of getting the NGK wires machv, and some KGK BPR6ES-11, but im not sure what to do about getting a new distributor. Any help would be apreciated

Can't go wrong with NGK products, but search the forums for recommendations, this topic has been discussed over and over again. You'll end up with several different answers because everyone has their own preference.

The plug number you listed is one step colder than stock, this would only benefit you if you have higher compression or plan on adding n2o or a turbo. Otherwise BPR7ES-11 will work fine.

And there is no distributor on our vehicles, they use a coil. The stock one provides plenty of spark for most set-ups, so putting in a MSD or ScreaminDemon coil may not be too beneficial either. If you really need to increase the spark, possibly consider going with a MSD DIS II system. This will give you maximum spark output even at higher rpms. But once again not necessarily needed unless heavily modded.

Hope this helps.

Oh im sorry i wasn't specific enough. I have the 4g37 which does have a distributor.

so is the NGK BPR7ES-11 are the correct spark plugs if i just want to keep everything to oem specs. Im not really looking to get any performance out of this engine, i just want to get it running nicely.)

No, you were right in the first place, stick with the BPR6ES-11. This is the right number for your motor. I didn't realize that you had the 4g37...my bad OMG And go with the NGK wires, these are probably best for that motor. And if you have never changed out the cap and rotor on your car, it would be a good thing to do that as well. These are pretty simplified as far as technology capability, so really any replacement from a local car part retailer will suffice. They are pretty much all the same. The distributor should be fine unless you are experiencing problems after you change out all of the above. Hopefully this is a little more helpful for ya.
