45000 miles, what parts to change (timing belt,..,...?)

Hi there,

I got a little question.
I want to change some Parts in my GSX, just to prevent any damage.

since the GSX was never sold in Europe, I have to order everything in the US.
And for that I need to know what you all would change? (So I just have to pay shipping once)

I tought about changing the Timingbelt with the (4 pc) OEM DSM Timing Belt Kit - OEM DSM Engine - Maintenance - DSMparts.com

What else would you change?
I mean I do all the regular oil changes,..,...

The timing you dont have to do until 60,000 miles.Are we talking origanal miles here?

Hi,

a friend of mine told me, I sould change it, because the car is 13 years old (original miles, original parts) and I have an EVOIII + parts on it and I just want to be on the save side.

I thought of getting the (4 pc) OEM DSM Timing Belt Kit

But since I'm doing that, I want to know if you would change other parts too?
(like water pump,..,?)

It's quite difficult to get parts here in Switzerland and since my english isn't that good, it's quite hard for me to figure out what parts I need

If you want to change it... then change it. Preventive maintenance doesn't hurt.

If your going to do it, then do the 60k maintenance aswell..

New Water Pump
New Thermostat
New Fuel Filter
New Timing Belt
New Balance Shaft Belt
New Timing Belt Tensioner
New Timing Bel Tensioner Pulley
New Balance shaft tensioner pulley
New Timing Bel Idler Pulley
New Spark Plugs
New Spark Plug Wires
New PCV Valve
New Accessory Belts
New Valve cover/half moon and spark plug seals.
Rebalance and rotate your tires
Check alignment

Consider new radiator hoses...

How much difficulty did you have getting license plates in CH?

I am getting ready to send a GSX to CH (Lausanne). I will have some time to get plates (one year before I must get them in CH), but how hard is it going to be to get this thing licensed?

Hi,

if it is stock you shouldn't have big problems to get plates.
Nevertheless it's not going to be that cheap.
