What sensor is this and the lil plastic gear thing at the bottom fell off into the tranny do i need it? the other tranny i bought didn't have a lil plastic gear thing

yes you need that little plastic thing. that is your speedometer sensor so without that gear you will not know how fast your going. a new sensor is pretty cheap.

thnx, im just gonna open it up and take that plastic gear out, getting a new tranny
