Ok, so I was driving my baby the other day and the hydraulic tensioner for the timing belt broke.
When this happened, it went ahead and broke the timing belt, and bent valves in my motor.
I have a guy at a junk yard that has a 3g 2002 eclipse with a 4g64 SOHC motor in it, and the motor is facing the right way. I was wondering if it is at all possible to put the 4g64 into my 98 Talon ESI. I've searched and all I can find is info on how the motor isn't able to be swapped because it faces the wrong way, which this one does not. The intake comes out the rear of the motor, and around the drivers side, just like my 420a. The exhaust comes out the front of the motor, and the passenger side motor mount, along with the front motor mount, seem to be in the right place.
I can get this whole car for 700$. That includes the Motor, Transmission, Wiring Harness, EVERYTHING.
I know the motor runs, the car was just flipped.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
By the way, I did read the engine swap forum, and I followed the link to 2gnt.com. I could not find what I was looking for.
