I did some searching about a possible swap/build on a 3g 4g64 block into a 2g with the 2g head. now the only posts i have been able to find were from back in 2003, however from what i read the question was never answerd.
I have a 3g 4-banger block that i ripped out of my buddies 3g eclipse because his timing belt broke and bent some valves. so we got bord one day and played with his old engine. from what i could tell, even though the block faces the opposite direction as a 2g, all the mounting points look identicle.
Obviously, if i were to eventualy attempt this, i would replace the pistons/rods with eagle/wiseco to be able to handle boost.
If your asking "why would i even care?" because i want more lowend torque with less turbo lag, less chance of CW, dont feel like changing over to 6-bolt because i want to be unique, the block was free. tell me what ya think. thanks
