420A supports more power than 4G63??

Hey Guys! I am not one that usually rips on others, but I saw this ad posted in Modified Car Trader .com | custom and performance cars for sale or trade | and thought true DSMTuners should see what I saw.

This guy actually makes the comment "It does not have the stock 4G63 block because it is not as strong and would not be able to handle the power. Car dynoed at 350 horsepower to the wheels at 12 lbs."

I get a smile everytime I read it. ROFL

Yet, in his comment that he's never raced it. He's prob just using the car as a 'boulevard blipper' to show off the spurts of HP that he can produce to other blvd racers.

And obviously, isn't the "GS-T' of the 2nd generation the turbo one anyway? Not familar with the 2G GS-T line. I would say that all he has is the RS version with that Chrysler motor in there.

The 2g turbo is a GST not, GS-T. The 2g GS is the top of the line non-turbo Eclipse with the Chrysler 420a. The RS is the bottom model with the same engine. I guess he calls it a GS-T since he turbo'd his GS.

The owner of that Eclipse must not know anything about the 4g63.
 
what an Idiot. I'm not trying to get upset but this guy cant be serious? I know he didn't do this but why in the hell would you pull a 4g63 out and have to deal with all the swapping of a 420a? I want to punch this guy. (maybe because thats because I have the urges to punch everything right now since I'm quitting chewing tobacco)
 
Haha, tell who ever who thinks the 420 is stronger than the 4G63 stock for stock to slap on a 50trim on both cars, fuel system, and standalone on both and start cranking up the boost. The 420a will make more power pound per pound of boost, but by the time it gets to the fun levels, the 420a will start crying, and a little past that boom, while the 4g63 will probably keep going at that boost level all day.

At least until the crank comes out for a walk in the park. (2g humor)
