2 years ago I embarked on a project to turbo my eclipse, but two months later I had an expensive life change and had to stop and sell my parts, but now the project is back underway, my car is a 95 mits eclipse with the Chrysler 420a motor paired with a five speed trans, so far it's been a little rough but the parts are ordered and I'll post pics of everything and keep things updated on my build

After you get 30 posts this should be moved to DSM Journals.

Good luck, glad to hear your back it! What are your plans for the build?

for right now I'll be running the td05 turbo with a built bottom end, stock crank, wiseco pistons (.40 over) eagle rods, high performance oil pump and I also hav arp head studs ordered, I'm just waiting on my block and parts, I'll try to post pics tonigh

heres pics of my broken crankshaft and useless cracked block, also my dirty engine bay, i already have a new crankshaft im just waiting on the block to get here, ill post more pics when i get started putting the bottom end together

yeah my eclipse has been sitting for two years and its finally going to have life again, i picked up a parts washer today and have been working on the oil pan and valve cover, anyone know price ranges to powder coat the valve cover?

i tried to post pics of the parts that came in but they wouldn't upload, ill try again when I have the bottom end built, yesterday I ordered a piston ring filer from summit racing and im still waiting on my block from the machine shop so hopefully I can begin soon

Set up a photobucket account, and post the links in here. You can post pics from an ipad, iPhone, android phone, and lap top all day long with photobucket.

There is a vendor on here that does some of the best powder coating around for a great price. But I can't remember the name of the shop. Browse the vendors or maybe some will chime in. Good luck I'm going Turbo by the end of the year with a 20g. I'll look forward to your updates.

okay thanks for the advice, I have problem though, today I received the block from the shop and I went to put in the main bearings and the notches on the bottom portion of the block don't line up, but I have the bottom off the old block and the bearings fit and it lines up with the block, should I use the old block bottom?

they sure do haha, I'm on hold on my engine build though until I can get new bearings, I'm slowly working in filing my piston rings, I'm running .017 on the top ring and .019 on the bottom

okay I have a question, I'm assembling my rods and pistons and I was wondering how I offset the piston pins, I know it's supposed to be opposite of rotation but I don't what that means in terms of where the open end of the clip faces
