420A Overhaul Cams/Camshaft Question

Hello. I will soon be rebuilding my stock 420A engine. I want to replace the current pistons and rods with JE Pistons and Eagle rods. Due to current budget constraints I will only be able to afford those performance parts as of right now but will potentially be adding a turbo later on. Would I have to replace any cam parts specifically the cam shaft when replacing the pistons? Will the engine run smoothly with a stock camshaft? I dont want to have to deal with any idle issues of adding a new camshaft when I can't afford to buy the turbo. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

You will be fine with just the pistons and rods,a lot of people upgrade those first before going into building the head and adding cams.

I run 20+psi on a stock rebuilt head. Works fine, better cams would help Im sure but you dont have to have them. Im guessing you replacing bearing and all that when you do the pistons/rods? And all the timing belt stuff and water pump?

Yup. I intend on replacing everything I can on the bottom end when im down there so I dont have to think about it later.
