Hey guys i have a 96 talon n/t and i just did a head gasket, oil change and new plugs and right when i started it the first time the oil pressure light came on right away and isnt going away. i then changed the oil pressure switch and its still on. i check my oil and its at a good level and im not blowing any smoke out the back. i dont know whats wrong with it...

before i did the head gasket the light would come on when the motor was cold but after about 10 sec it would turn off. but when it was warm it turned off right away.

PLEASE HELP!

Get a guage on there and stop running it until you verify your oil pressure.

Either buy a guage or find a way to thread a guage in where the sensor goes just to check. Then put it back.

You can buy a full guage set up and mount it if you wanted to.

Edit: also make sure the connector is good and tight first. Then look to confirming your oil pressure.

well i just hooked up a oil pressure gauge and there is no oil going through the line to the gauge. i couldnt find a sending unit so all i did was buy a tee and a couple of fittings and ran the line....im stumped. my car isnt running any different than what it was

Again... oil pump? If you've been running the engine for any length of time without oil pressure, I'd expect to find other damage as well.
