is there any device or software that can show me engine process such as rpms, knock, a/f ration, or a problem? i dont want a tuning program, just something that shows me the engines computer. maybe like a obd2 to usb and software for a laptop??? i dunno

Yes, DSMLink, or for cheap you can get a datalogger. Fot the datalogger, just find yourself a cheap palm pilot, the cable that connects from your cars OBD2 port to the palm, and you are set to go. After that, just download a program such as MMCD or palmnstein, which are used for our cars, and you will be able to monitor many things.

He can't use link. He has Mega squirt or a simple 100 dollar datalogger. look for any ob2 like stated above. I just bought mine for 70 bucks.

While nice looking, it carries a hefty price tag and does virtually the same thing as a logger. Check out this site to show you what exactly a logger does, as well as the ability to purchase a complete kit. Shop around though, Pick the palm you like on ebay, and just buy the cable, also available on ebay. The softwares are free such as MMCD or Palmn'stein

Welcome to OBDloggers

LOL still pricy. Just get the palm logger. It works great. ANd you can kinda log knock. You will have to watch when you start pulling time. I started knocking on my last pull. I went from 7*,12*,24*,7*. I knocked big time when im timing went to 7. Thats about the time when i backed off. I think i had an electrical problem.
