420A 420a engine build First DSM build

This is my first DSM ever and I'm 18 and I bought a 420a engine that needs to be rebuilt and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on parts for the engine I want all engine power.

im sorry this forum is almost a waste of time because i just realized the engine that comes stock in my rs is a 420a haha but im going to rebuild it does anyone know were to get engine rebuild kits

Op, there is still plenty of info on here. Just stick with the 420a section.

Good that you are rebuilding another engine while you still drive your car. Imo, its the best way to go. As for rebuild info, you can check out this; 2GNT.com - A_Proper_Rebuild for an idea of what it will take. Now for your rebuild, I would suggest that you use 10.5 comp pistons. They can be used NA or turbo (you will either have to get Eagle rods with those pistons or have your stockers bored out. Of course that would go for most after market forged pistons). Good in between choice. Oh yeah, don't buy any pistons until you do your tear down of the block and send it to the machine shop. They will tell you what bore you will need (I've seen too many people order the pistons before they get the block checked. Then have to turn around and get another set of new pistons)
