420a coil on ignition

Was wondering if anyone has seen/heard of coil on ignition conversion for the 420a? Ive got a built motor and was gonna try a mega squirt set up when I get the new motor put in.....would I gain any more tune ability out of my car with individual coils and would it be worth the cost and/or hassle?


*by built I mean full rebuild, bigger cams, new valve train with stainless valves, full port/polish with 2 angle grind, forged high comp pistions, forged rods, 57mm throttle body, full exhaust, udp, bigger injectors soon and mega squirt with the possibility of nitrous......

Yea it will allow you to run sequential fuel and spark which will give you a smoother running engine over batch fire/wasted spark COP.

I have been working on using VW/Audi coils. Page 2 in my build thread has pics if it mocked up using a 2.4l valve cover.

i was just looking at your build the other day dsmcrzy... But yea, what hes done with audi coils is about the only thing ive seen for COP setup on a 420A.
