I was able to get the camshaft nearest the firewall off no problem but the forward camshaft won't come up and off. It is still connected somewhere near the drivers side of the engine. What's it connected to? How can I get it off?

Thanks for any help. Hopefully someone will reply soon!

did you take all the cam caps off? Pictures would help.

there's a big oblong style cam cap on the drivers side. It doesn't look like the others

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I took all the cam caps off according to the FSM. Do I need to take off the black plastic piece that's near the camshaft positioning sensor? It fits in the end of the shaft..

Okay so the deal was that the cam was sat in place so tight I had to use a crow bar and quite a bit of force and then it popped off. Hmm.
