420 a clutch replacment guide?

sorry I tryed to look for a guide but nothing good came up...If someone could give me the link to one i would be very thankfull. 96 eclipse 420a. motor is out of the car i have a clutch will on motor i bought. The car came without a motor clutch is still in the tran. I have a haynes manual but it dosnt give much help. I first time ever messing with a clutch. 3ed motor rebuild. So i know some what, what im doing ... sorry if its some thing easy just want info before i start any thing on it. thanks in advance....

just bolt clutch to flywheel. 4 short bolts. 18mm I believe. Then attach tranny to engine. you might have to wiggle it a hair for the splines to match up.

I wish it was as easy as ed makes it sound, unfortunately its not though so heres a 420A clutch install write-up. It's a bit different then a traditional clutch because its modular, meaning the flywheel doesn't bolt directly to the crank.

I just did it last week. Flywheel does bolt directly to the crank. Clutch is a one piece that bolts to the flywheel. This was on a 99. Don't see why it would be different thought

The OEM 2g N/T clutch bolts to a flexplate thats bolted to the crank, it is possible someone converted it to a non modular setup so yours isn't the stock N/T clutch ed. Here's a write-up one of our N/T Wisemen did showing the difference between a modular and non modular clutch setup on a 2g.
