bearing replacment?

ok.. I have a rod knock on my motor... Im thinking about just replacing the bearings if the crank is good..

My question is.. Has anyone else done this? Have any onf you experienced rod knock, pulled the old bearings, and replaced them with new ones? this car only has to last me another 2 months, then Im getting a new long block..

What are you going to do w/ all the metal shavings from the dead bearing? You'll just destroy more rod bearings in less time.

well, Im going to make sure the oil pump isnt all clogged up.. I am going to do a full engine flush.. I know it wont last forever.. I just need it to run untill I get the cash to do a motor swap... I have heard of people doing that.. the bearing isnt spun, it just started knocking.. and it hasnt been driven since.. so I dont think there will be that much damage... I guess I would just have to pull it open and see?

I know there is at least on person on here who has done it, cause I read it here.. I just want another opinion..

Like I said.. it just needs to get me to and from work for 2 months, then its engine swap time...
