$400 upgrade

Hey guys I have about 400 bucks from my college loans to spend on something to improve my cars perfomance here is a list of my current mods. Please leave suggestions, thanks.

it seems like you have your performance down.

I would work on replacing parts that maybe look worn now. Headliner parts, shift boot. I mean you build looks killer.

Do you have bigger power goals?

Fuel injectors I didn't see it listed

The engine has roughly 15k on the rebuild and the stage four clutch has about 6k miles on the kit and flywheel. The car runs 11.90 Id like to reach 11.50 eventually. 550 injectors sorry forgot to list.

only 550 injectors? id check if your maxing them out. if you are maybe switch to e85 and tune it and you can squeeze more power out

Obviously you would need to buy bigger injectors and maybe a bigger pump (i didn't see one listed)

What size injectors would u recommend for my setup? Im good for 25psi on the track and 19 on the street right now.

Get a wally 255 and a AFPR. Then up your pressure and start running some more boost and get those injectors running. No reason you cant hit lower 11's if you up the boost. Oh get some bigger injectors as well if possible.

Some used 750s = $150, used AFPR = $150, Used wally = $100

Theres $400 bucks

I have an AEM True boost gauge along with a fuel to air ratio gauge. Is it still nessary to get a AFPR?

If you want faster spool than you would want to stroke your block but that's way more than 400

I got 750 and I will get 750 more next semester. I will aquire roughly 250k in 2 yrs so not worry about loans.

A AFPR is a Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator. You have a boost controller and a wideband. Every car needs these to tune properly. And to increase your boost and fuel a significant amount to make real power, yes you will need a AFPR.

This allows you to bring your stock fuel pressure from 38psi up to say 58psi. This would theoretically let you run 20psi completely safe and gives you A LOT of room for more boost, instead of squeezing 25 out of your car now.

Ok thank you sorry for the noob question, but how much do u think J racing would charge to tune put in a AFPR injectors and a 255 pump? Your rough estimate.

Your sure DSM link cant turn up my fuel pressure? Im new to the DSM world sorry guys.

Yes I did but I got a hell of a deal on it. I know a little about mechanics but ive never been mechanicly inclined. The most ive done is swap an 89 302 into a 94 mustang. No aftermarket work.

I found a set of 8 EB bosch injectors I think I've finally made my decision thanks guys.

I'm with Wes, been through college, keep your loans to a minimum. Cars will come and go. If you take out $400 extra a semester, that's more than $3,200 over the path of 4 years with interest. That's my 2 psi.

I do have 850 injectors and wolboro 255 high pressure pump along with afpr on the car check this morning.

j racing is about an hour and a half away i plan on having them tune it and saving the money I have left.

Im just gonna have it dyno tuned I have pretty much all the mods i can do done . Ill spend the rest on books for next semester.
