I bought a 4 layer HG from MachV and i was wondering should i use some copper spray on it when I go to put it on?

I'm pretty sure you use copperspray. Is your head machined? If its not almost perfect than it will have trouble sealing. Dont really want to have to do it twice.

When I prepped my motor for the 4-layer install, I had my new cylinder head surfaced for a metal gasket. Then I took some fine grit sandpaper and a razor and went over the surface of the block getting the old gasket off. Once the surface was perfectly clean, I sprayed everything down with carb cleaner and wiped it clean. After that, I sprayed the gasket evenly with copper spray, set it on the block, and torqued the head on. Haven't had a problem since.

i recently installed a sheet metal intake manifold, and its been brought to my today while talking to someone about the problems im having, they asked which type of silicon spray i used.... im guessing thats why it wont idle, am i right? (if you cant read between the lines very well ill spell it out to you, as much as this makes me look like an idiot.... is silicon spray needed when redoing the intake manifold gasket and throttle body gaskets?)
