At the head to mani... what's the theory behind this (how is it better)... and why?

And while I'm at it... why are turbo gaskets basically just pieces of sheetmetal, while the DP gasket is a metal/fiber composite?

How do the thin metal mani/turbo/O2 gaskets seal?

And do you ever use copper sealant?

Dont use sealant.. I couldnt tell you why one is metal and the other is a fiber type material.. Im guessing its due to heat because it is extremely hot right a the turbo and it needs a good strong gasket.

I'd get the copper embossed gaskets seen here:

they'll seal better and no chance of them expanding to break your studs and such.
