4 layer OEM exhaust manifold gasket

I was just wondering if the gasket would like 4 seperate gaskets for someone who has never seen one before. When I pulled my exhaust manifold, I noticed 4metal gaskets.

Also, is the 4 gasket OEM?

Finally, are they all supposed to be connected together or is it really 4 gaskets?

It should be 4 thin layers of metal bonded together, they are OEM and I believe it was for GVR-4 and 1G DSM. I have an unused 4 layer I can snap a pic of for reference if you'd like.

I dont believe the mani gasket was oem if its a metal 4 layer those are usually aftermarket and more expensive

All, thanks for the help so far. Don't want to take up too much time with you all getting pics.

I took a look at the exhaust manifold gasket again and see that it is rivited together like the above pic. Is that what the 4 layer factory exhaust manifold gasket looks like?

That just comes from looking around on ebay so who knows.

Two and four Layers are reusable, I have re used them with out a problem, just clean it up very well.

The gasket is cracking/chipping away around the port holes....was going to be my next question. I assume that it will keep doing it and that I will get leaks at some point. My 4 layer is not the copper type FYI. Would much rather reuse it....but the thought of having to change it out again in a year or so doesn't appeal to me.
