If anyone is thinking about upgrading your brakes or considering running the 3000 gtvr4 setup DO IT. MY car stops so hard its really amazing honestly. The brackets were purchased from rtm and the calipers/rotors and brake booster was purchased from rockauto. They even sell 3000gt vr4 powerstop calipers already powdercoated for dirt cheap. The setup im running is basically powerstop 3kgtvr4 calipers with powerstop mustang cobra rotors and a 4g brake booster from an eclipse. The hardest part is changing your brake lines to bubble fittings.

What's the part number for those rotors?

If you deleted abs, dont do this mod. The brakes lock up too easily. Otherwise they work well if you have good enough tires. If I remember correctly, it cost me about $600 front and rear on a 2g when I did it.

You can have it done for less than 400..... the booster is an added expense. It's not necessary but the pedal feel is much better. I'm not exaggerating when I say it's my favorite mod.

How did u manage to buy those? They always say out of stock last few times I checked.
I just noticed that, I bought them last year, I spoke to ziggy the owner at the time and I guess he stepped down. This might be
Why they are lacking lately. I would give them a call, ziggy told me he was still gunna stick around..... I'm sure they would take care of You

If you have your ABS deleted, what do you recommend?

Ya man! Me too! I'm on EVO Brembos but my brakes are still one of my favorite mods. Such G's. Much WOW!

I often see peeps running huge boost on stock brakes.....to me if you wanna go fast and accel hard you should be able to stop harder too. To each their own (no judgement).

I agree about stopping stopping faster than you accelerate, but if there is no abs with 4 piston calipers you WILL lock them up and have flat spots in your tires if the car isn't in an impact.

I can lock em up at 120 kph easily so I mos def hear you on the ABS. My car never had ABS so that wasn't an option.

That being said with my upped BB and MC its very easy on the foot so super easy to ride that edge where they lock. I currently have issues with the rear locking up waaay before the rears but that's due to my suspension setup that needs some tweaking and the rears are to cambered in from the ride height drop so once I fix that I'll be back to a 4 wheel lockup instead of the rear 2.

Since I have a 91, I'm gonna need to snag some dual pistons. I would imagine they are fairly easy to find. My build is getting really close to "complete"...we are just waiting on a carbon driveshaft and besides that everything is good to go and get it on the dyno. Then I need to swap over some eibachs and kybs from a roller I have as well as convert to dual piston with slotted rotors and pads.

Sorry to butt in.
Idk if the above comments are for the 1g.
But i deleted my abs and had evo brembos in my 2g gsx. No upgraded booster. And i don't lock up anything.. Just saying.

Like you can't lockup even if you tried? Or that you lock up when/if you want?

My car with the new 3G brake booster and 3G MC do not lock up either and my abs does not work. I'm also about to install some big Stop tech 4 caliper Pistons soon.

I dont have abs and my car stops so freaking hard.....no skidding, its amazing how much more heat energy these brakes can dissipate.
