3000gt 16x8 on a 1G?

I need a 100% answer if these will fit. I did a search and didnt find anything that assured me. I have a friend selling a set and I have a set of 225/50's that would be perfect on them.

If your friend lives close by maybe you could pull a wheel off your car and see if the wheels fit, or throw his spare tire on your car. You're talking about lug patterns, right? Or maybe call up a wheel/tire shop, or a dealership.

No, the lug pattern definately goes with DSMs. Im wondering if there will be any rubbing on the inside? vfaq says they will fit on a 2G, but only with a 225/50 tire. Anyone know if the same goes for a 1G?

I bought some 93 Stealth rims off a friend with 215/50s on and i noticed a very small amount of rubbing on the plastic when i was rotating tires, never noticed it while driving, you could prolly knock the plastic back.

Which plastic are you talking about?

There is a plastic piece on the inside of the wheel well behind the spring and strut. If he has tires on these wheels try putting one on. I run 16x8 rx-7 wheels and had to use spacers on the front only.
