3 turbos to choose, h1c ,garret,borg warner

basically ive got 3 turbos to choose h1c, a borg warner, and a garret from a powerstroke 7.3

which is best? i deleted a previous thread i had because i couldnt upload photos

I wouldnt use the turbo from the Powerstroke because theway the oil feed/return is setup but that is just me

to me the h1c looks very old nothing like the h1c's i see in the other threads, nothing that cant be fixed but i hope it has same specs. So that leaves the borg warner as well. the powerstroke is in the best of shape though. anyone else? ideas?

this is the powestroke one. My main question is will i be able to spool it? i dont mind working around the oil lines but which turbo is best is the real ?

Most people use the WH1C instead of the H1C. Just do a search. (Found the post... H1c differences That's why it doesn't look like most of the ones you see.

This is what you see more often. This is the WH1C.

You have a H1C with a 52mm inducer.

so should i be expecting 600 hp from this turbo provided all other supporting mods are installed? if its a lil different what will the difference be?

Does anyone know anythin about that garrett besides oil feed/return, im really likin the size of it and the condition . no rebuild necessary. I have access to a fab shop for free so i can get a manifold made up

Im no turbo guru but the borg warner and the garret are way bigger than the holset

I doubt you'll be seeing 600hp anytime soon. Try more like 400-450 range once you get it running good. E85 and/or meth/h2o injection will help get those numbers up too.
