3" O2 Housing Necessary?

I just installed a 3" Downpipe/Testpipe(Until I get my Hi-Flow Cat)/Catback on my car, and of course I am creeping (Not as bad as some I suppose, but still up to at least 20psi.) So what I am wondering is, should I just get my 02 housing ported or is it better to just go with a new housing anyway since I have the 3" exhaust already? If so, should I go with 2.5" or 3".

My goals with the car are I suppose 11s that's why i have 3" exhaust, but I'm sure when i get to 11s I will want to go faster.

I have a 3in O2 elim on my car and it still crept just like yours. The best way to fix it is to port the watsegate hole on the turbo and put a bigger flapper, go with an external WG, or remove the divider. If you look up mt name you will fin da post about removing the divider and it worked.

Port the exhaust housing so that it's easy to see the wastegate flapper. Try opening up the actual wastegate hole also but be very careful not to go too much. That highflow cat may slow the creep down abit.

I know creep is bad, but if you are creeping only to 20psi and you are wanting 11's then what is the problem. I mean, you have the ARP's in and a better HG and you will need to run more boost than 19psi to get your goal.

i doubt he wants to run race gas in his car all the time. 20 # on a 14B is not healthy. it is way past the efficiency of that turbo and will just be causing more heat and stress for the motor. If he was runnign a 50 trim or something like that then I could see it. Not to mention he doesnt have the fuel system upgraded to cope with that kind of boost, unless he hasnt updated his mod list. Its just not smart.

Not to mention I have only heard of maybe 2 people that have touched 11's on a 14B.

It is possible with tuning and some great driving.

Even with the 14b he is going to need to run high PSI to get anywere inside of the 11.99 mark. He may out of the efficiency zone, but it will still add a little power.

I guess my reply should have been started with......"If this is your new track toy then...." . I noticed the fuel situation, but I was hoping (assuming made an ass out of me) he was in the process of installing these things. So, yes, you need to cure it with opening the hole and adding a nice big O2 housing. Might as well go with the 3" housing since you have already got the rest of it waiting.
