Evo 3 o2 housing question.

Hey guys. So I have been browsing around the forums and can't seem to find an answer to my question. I'm about to buy the Evo 3 o2 housing from forced performance and it is saying I need to buy a down pipe that has "slotted holes". http://store.forcedperformance.net/...&Product_Code=O2HEVO&Category_Code=Acc-Gasket

I may be having a brain fart here, but what the heck does that mean? Lol

The evo3 housing has a little wider bolt pattern than the 2g housing, so you need like an universal type flange where you can wiggle it so it fits.

There are also specific flanges made for evo3 housing, but i cant remember where i've seen them

It means the distance between the two studs on the bottom of the o2 housing are farther apart then factory which would cause you to have to put a downpipe with slotted hole in the flange. Or slot the holes on a downpipe yourself.

They mean slotted holes on the downpipe flange where in connects to the o2 housing. The evo3 housing outlet flange is at a different angle than the 1g and 2g o2 housings. The slotted holes helps you makes it fit better. Really the best option would be to get a downpipe thats made to fit the evo3 housing or custom make a downpipe to fit it.

Just remember the evo 3 o2 has a slight odd angle then most downpipes out there.So i have seen most people have to cut and turn the flange or just get a customer downpipe made to fit the evo 3 o2.I would stick with the stock 2g o2 housing port it if you want but the stock 2g housing will handle lots of power.

I think I will go that route I have a few laying around my house so ill port one and throw it on. Thanks!
