3 Inch OMG~

So up until now all i've really had perfomance wise is an injen intake and a dejon tool s pipe (cuz my rubber one had a hole in it). Not that much of a difference but everything sounded cooler.
This past week i put on my handy lil 1G Bov and a 3 inch mandrel bent N1 knock off. Holy schmack. This is by far the cheapest HP i've ever noticed. Its not one of those lets bolt on a header to a ricer:
"hey man, did you feel that? I did, that shiz was tight yo!"
" no man i didnt feel anything"
"yeah you did! see look it pulls harder at like 8500 rpm now yo"
"oh yeah, yeah, i can feel it"
" thats sweet man!"
"dude yo"
Nothing like that for all you new DSM'ers like myself (even though thank god a never owned a honda). The power comes on a lot stronger sooner, and lasts a lot longer. I cant wait for a bigger turbo. I hit 15-16 psi now. Didnt even put on my hallman MBC. The boost kinda drops down in higher rmp but i assumed that was the tiny lil turbo poopin out.

dam here i thought that was the whole point of getting a car that has more potential without having to swap in parts from 20 different cars to make it run remotely quick at the strip.

nice, with a 3" catback, greddy type-s and intake filter my boost shot up from 12psi to 16 and would peg 16 to redline with the t25. time to do the run of the mill 16g/safc2/550's/190lph/pocketlogger and have some real fun.

I got it from good ol' ebay. It bolted right on, no problems at all. Its made by "Tsudo". Just hit up ebay and type in Eclipse exhaust. There is a million of em, most of them knock offs. It was 200 plus shipping...and shipping was like 85 bucks plus ins of like 10. Hey pipe is pipe. It sounds great too, deep and full, not to freakin loud but loud enough.

now thomas, we all know you dont want to upgrade that without a ported manifold, ported o2 housing, FMIC, and something to stop your creep with that 3" exhaust

Yeah same here. 3" turbo-back, intake, hard IC piping, and then the clutch slipped away @ 60K.

This isn't a Honduh bashing forum? Then I must be in the wrong palce cause last time I checked I put something on my car and it made a difference in performance, and it didn't revolve around z3 fenders or clear tail lights to make more power.

Yeah but those Z3 fenders will help with aerodynamics..and you'll need that because that intake you put on adds 25hp...did you see the graph on the box?
I met a honda guy once who had a 210hp civic ex.
He started at 140hp
said intake gave him 15
catback gave him 25
high flow cat gave him 10
headers gave him 20.


All cuz of those nice lil graphs on the box that the parts came in. Those boxes fail to mention that they sometimes put on a HUGE turbo and leave the stock intake. Then put on their super hyper dyno flow rage magna intake and watch the numbers soar!!!!
We'll we wend to the dyno cuz my Z28 needed a stock pull so i knew where i was starting.
I put down 301hp . ...he put down 129hp. Then he told me its cuz he has 210 to the wheels and the transmission soaks up that much power. 80 hp huh? And they wonder why they have a bad name.
