i have a 95 tsi awd and i want to run a 3" exhaust set up where i can run a test pipe for every day use and then put a catylic converter on for the emissions check. i am looking at the thermal research catback exhaust system. my question is, what down pipe, test pipe, and cat converter combo will bolt up to the 3" thermal research catback without any modifications? i am also upgrading to a internally gated 50 trim set up within the next 2 months if this makes a difference. thanks

You can mate it up with any type of 3"DP that doesn't eliminate the cat. Then purchase the cat and build your own testpipe.

I didn't give names because they are all over the place on this site. Just pick a shop and you will find what you need. Hell, call them and tell them exactly what you told us.:thumb:

I am running a VRS 3" o2 elim. turboback. It has a section to swap out the cat with a testpipe. My 20G is internally gated aswell. I don't know what type of flange the Thermal uses, but you can always have 2 diff. flanges on a cat and a testpipe. Just have to get creative.

i have heard there are different size of flanges from different companies, and to be quite honest with you as far as building my own....i really don't have the tools to. i just wanted a simple bolt on application without the hassle of modifying.

What type of flange is on the thermal, a 2 bolt or triangular 3 bolt?

since your in cleveland heights.. i'd just go to buschur and get a system from them... its so cheap Imo... and worth it..

Most all will bolt up like that. The flanges will bolt up cause they are 3" piping. Call up Slowboy or Buschur and tell them what you got goin on. They will be able to solve your dilemma no problem.:thumb:

Might not be able to see them on the sites, but they have helped on this subject before. More than once.:thumb: Buschur or anyone else will make NO difference. You already have the part that will depict the noise it makes in the Thermal.
