3'' downpipe to 3.5'' Cat-back

Ok I've got my full 3'' Down Pipe, but I am having trouble locating a place that can expand a piece of pipe to 3.5'' to bolt up to my cat-back. My question is does anyone know of a place that would sell like a 6'' piece of pipe that goes from 3'' to 3.5''? This is the last thing I need to finish up me exhaust for my car.

what 3.5 inch exaust do you have?

have you thougth of welding one yourself? just get a 3.5 inch one and cut out pie shaped peices and fold it down around the 3 inch downpipe, the weld away....

just go to a muffler shop and have them take a 3" and expand it with their hydraulic expander, or order Summit part # FLO-R3530 3.5" to3" reducer cone - $21.88 it will be a smooth transition to 3.5" And it is 8" long

None of my local exhaust shops will even touch 3'', they all say its too big for my application. I had to go to a diesel shop to get the 3.5'' and I was lucky to get that as they use primarily piping larger than 4''. They just happened to have a stick of 3.5'' laying back in the shop so I bought it. Thanks for the part number for the transition from summit I just ordered it, should be here thursday then i'll have the exhaust finished up.

Just a suggestion I wouldn't take it to any normal muffler shop without checking out their welds first. I got an adapter on mine and the welds look like they were sprinkled on.

this is america, money talks, i cant believe someone actually said no to some green....especially since it was, can you do your job and ill pay you?

Yeah, it's insane isn't it? I called a muffler shop that our shop used to deal with and asked if he could do a 3" exhaust on my car. He said, no, you don't need 3", 2 1/2 is fine. I was like, ok then, thanks, bye. Went to a different shop that a friend recommended and one of the workers happened to own a 2g GSX! Haha, he was more than happy to make my exhaust..

Ive been told the exact same thing.....the guy said he wouldn't warranty it any thing cause it's a drag race application and it's too big for the street car WTF
